I began keeping bettas when I was about 4 or 5. Only one at a time in my 5 gallon tank. Then during the summer after 5th grade I began getting more serious about it. I kept over 20 adult bettas and did weekly water changes. Females were housed in 10 gallons and males in pickle jars. Soon I discovered breeding. I HAD TO TRY IT!! I've been breeding ever since. Last year I focused on color and this year it's fins :)
I'm limited to my bedroom currently for breeding. Here's my set up:
Here's part of it:
To the left is my growout tub, next to that is the food and water station, next to that is a spawning tank and next to that is a jar shelf.
Here's a close up of the jar shelf:

Soon I'll be putting 2 more growout tubs on this shelf and getting another shelf so I can handle 6 spawns at once :)
Here's a basic overview of a spawning tub, it needs way more plants though:
In the tub is a 50 watt heater, a cave, a live plant (adding many more soon) a lid for the nest and a custom modified plastic cup for the female. The use of the lid seems to work better than a styrofoam cup.
